APC Convention: Akpabio, Fubara, Ribadu, Uzodimma, Others Get New Appointments

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved the composition of sub-committees for its 2026 National Convention as part of preparations for the exercise.

The development was disclosed in a statement on Wednesday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.

According to the ruling party, the committees are tasked with coordinating key operational, administrative, electoral, logistics, security and programme activities to ensure a seamless and credible convention.

Leadership of National Convention Sub-Committees

1. Aspirants’ Screening Committee
Chairman: Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji
Co-Chairman: Usman Ododo
Vice Chairman: Ken Nnamani

2. Screening Appeal Committee
Chairman: Umar Namadi
Co-Chairman: Francis Nwifuru
Vice Chairman: Abdullahi Umar Ganduje

3. Election Committee
Chairman: Aminu Bello Masari
Co-Chairman: Anyim Pius Anyim

The APC urged committee members to carry out their duties diligently and in line with the party’s constitution and approved guidelines.

The party reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a transparent and credible National Convention aimed at strengthening internal democracy and consolidating its progressive ideals.
