The United States Justice Department on Thursday made public additional documents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation detailing interviews with a woman who alleged that US President Donald Trump sexually assaulted her after she was introduced to him by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

According to the department, the documents had not been included in earlier congressionally mandated releases connected to Epstein’s case because they had been mistakenly classified as “duplicative.”

The disclosure comes as Democrats continue to examine how the Trump administration handled the Epstein-related files and whether any important information was withheld from the public.

The newly released records contain summaries of several interviews conducted in 2019 by the FBI with the woman. In the interviews, she claimed that she was assaulted by both Epstein and Trump while she was between 13 and 15 years old.

During one of the interviews, the woman reportedly told investigators that Epstein transported her to “either New York or New Jersey” where he introduced her to Trump. She alleged that during the encounter Trump attempted to force her to perform oral sex, prompting her to bite him.

The woman also told investigators that she and individuals close to her received threatening phone calls over the years demanding that she remain silent. She said she believed the threats were connected to Epstein.

Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in relation to allegations tied to Epstein. The Justice Department had earlier stated that some of the material released in the Epstein case “contain untrue and sensationalist claims against President Trump.”

Democratic lawmakers have accused the administration of withholding information that could potentially damage Trump politically.

Amid the controversy, a committee in the United States House of Representatives voted on Wednesday to issue a subpoena to Pam Bondi, seeking her testimony over how the Justice Department handled the documents related to Epstein.

What you should know

Jeffrey Epstein was a wealthy American financier whose criminal case drew global attention due to allegations that he operated a network exploiting underage girls and maintained ties with powerful figures in politics, business, and entertainment.

After his arrest in 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges, Epstein died in custody before standing trial.

Despite his death, investigations and document disclosures related to his activities continue to spark political and legal debates in the United States, especially when they involve prominent individuals or previously unreleased allegations.
