Norwegian champions FK Bodø/Glimt completed the greatest achievement in their history on Tuesday with a stunning 2-1 win away at Inter Milan, sealing a 5-2 aggregate triumph to reach the Champions League last 16.
Leading 3-1 from the first leg in the Arctic Circle, second-half goals from Jens Petter Hauge and Håkon Evjen silenced the San Siro and set up a last-16 clash with either Manchester City F.C. or Sporting CP.
More than 3,000 travelling supporters made the journey from Bodø, a city of around 50,000 people, to witness a remarkable chapter in the club’s debut season in Europe’s elite competition.
