Two planes operated by Delta subsidiary Endeavor Air collided on the runway at New York’s LaGuardia Airport on Wednesday night, officials confirmed.
The incident occurred at 9:58 pm (0158 GMT Thursday) when one jet was landing and another preparing for takeoff, according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

One person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while Delta reported that a flight attendant sustained a minor injury.
Images circulated in US media showed damage to the nose of one of the aircraft, though operations at LaGuardia, one of the country’s busiest airports, were not disrupted.
Delta, parent company of Endeavor Air, said the collision happened at low speed during taxiing. Preliminary findings indicate the wing of a departing plane bound for Roanoke, Virginia, struck the fuselage of the arriving aircraft.

A total of 93 passengers and crew were on board both planes combined. Delta said it would cooperate fully with authorities in reviewing safety measures following the incident.
