In a dramatic turn of events on Big Brother Naija Season 10, three housemates—Rooboy, Dede, and Joanna—who were controversially evicted earlier in the week through the notorious red phone twist, have made a stunning return to the competition.

The trio re-entered the house on Wednesday night after spending 48 hours in a secret room, where their every move was secretly monitored by fans. Their supposed eviction on Monday had thrown both the housemates and viewers into a frenzy after show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, announced their departure, with Biggie sealing the moment in his trademark countdown style.

Dede was the first casualty of the twist when she answered the ominous red phone and was ordered to name another housemate. Choosing Joanna proved costly, as Ebuka swiftly declared both evicted. Not long after, Rooboy fell into the same trap and was also sent packing. Their abrupt exit left fellow contestants stunned and fueled heated conversations online, with many suspecting it was a staged eviction.

Those suspicions were confirmed on Wednesday after the Colgate task, when Rooboy, Joanna, and Dede walked back into the house one after the other, leaving their colleagues in utter disbelief. The atmosphere quickly shifted from tension to excitement, as hugs, cheers, and emotional reunions filled the air.

Joanna, visibly energized, vowed that she would not leave the house again until the final day of the season, while Rooboy made his presence felt with a flamboyant and dramatic re-entry. Dede, for her part, appeared relieved, hinting at a fresh strategy for the coming weeks.

Interestingly, housemate Sultana later revealed she had suspected the trio would return, given Big Brother’s reputation for keeping contestants and fans on their toes with unexpected twists.

The red phone twist, a long-running feature in the BBNaija franchise, has historically served as both a punishment tool and a dramatic plot device. In previous seasons, Biggie has staged fake evictions by moving housemates into secret rooms to observe the game from a distance before reintegrating them—often shifting alliances and igniting new conflicts.

With their re-entry, fans and analysts alike anticipate a reshuffling of strategies, alliances, and rivalries in the weeks to come. If anything, Wednesday night’s spectacle reaffirms Big Brother’s knack for delivering the unexpected and keeping audiences hooked.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

The dramatic return of Rooboy, Dede, and Joanna after the red phone twist confirms Big Brother’s signature use of fake evictions to stir excitement, shift house dynamics, and keep viewers hooked.
