Decomposed Body Found in Tesla Registered to Rising Singer D4vd, Investigation Underway

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the gruesome discovery of human remains inside an impounded Tesla at a Hollywood tow yard on Monday, in a case that has thrust 20-year-old platinum-selling artist D4vd into the spotlight for disturbing reasons.

Los Angeles police were called to the lot on North Mansfield Avenue because of a “foul odor coming from a vehicle,” leading to the macabre discovery that has sent shockwaves through the music industry. Platinum-selling artist D4vd is “cooperating” with authorities after a horrible stench led police to a rotting corpse hidden in the trunk of a Tesla registered to the singer.

The vehicle, a 2023 Tesla with Texas license plates, is registered to David Anthony Burke—the real name of the singer who performs under the stage name D4vd. Investigators told the New York Post that the car was reported abandoned in the Hollywood Hills nearly five days ago and was towed to the lot.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … The body found in the Tesla was chopped up and heavily decomposed, making identification challenging for investigators. Investigators will be relying heavily on the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner to identify the victim and to figure out the cause of death.

The timing of the discovery has raised questions about the artist’s whereabouts. D4vd, known for viral hits like “Here with Me” and “Romantic Homicide,” has been on tour and continued performing even after the body was discovered. D4vd—a popular singer with millions of streams—is alive and well after a chopped-up and heavily decomposed body was found in a Tesla registered to him, sources confirmed.

The case has already begun impacting the young artist’s career. Major brands have started distancing themselves from the singer as the investigation unfolds, though representatives have confirmed he is cooperating fully with law enforcement.

D4vd has over 33 million monthly listeners on Spotify and over 3.6 million followers on TikTok, where his songs “Here with Me” and “Romantic Homicide” have gone viral. The 20-year-old artist has built a massive following through social media platforms, making this development particularly shocking for his young fanbase.

The Los Angeles Police Department has classified the case as a death investigation. Detectives are working to determine not only the identity of the victim but also the circumstances surrounding their death and how the body ended up in the musician’s vehicle.

As this story continues to develop, law enforcement officials stress that the investigation is in its early stages.
