Former Deputy Governor and current Senator representing Rivers West, Ipalibo Harry-Banigo, has expressed deep appreciation for the restoration of peace in Rivers State following months of political tension.
In a statement shared on her official Facebook page, Senator Harry-Banigo offered thanks to “God Almighty for the sustained peace in Rivers State” and extended her congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what she described as his “fatherly role” in resolving the political conflict that had threatened unity in the state.

She further acknowledged the key figures involved in the reconciliation efforts. “I also commend the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike; the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara; and other leaders in the state for embracing peace and reconciliation.
