Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has appointed renowned Nigerian artist Innocent Idibia, widely recognized as 2Baba or 2Face Idibia, as Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach.
The announcement came during a meeting between the governor and the music legend, where Alia commended 2Baba’s long-standing commitment to Benue State—his birthplace—and his influential role in Nigeria’s entertainment sector. “Mention 2Face, and people instantly celebrate—even without music playing. We’re thrilled to have you here,” Alia stated.
Emphasizing the singer’s potential to drive progress, the governor added, “Beyond your current efforts, we believe you can further uplift our communities and share invaluable insights. Hence, we are honored to appoint you as technical advisor to the governor in this capacity.” The official appointment was confirmed on April 23, 2025.
