Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya has dissolved the Executive Council of Gombe State, bringing an end to the current cabinet.
The decision was announced on Wednesday during the 53rd State Executive Council meeting, where the governor informed members of the development.
No clear reason was given at the time of the announcement, but the action is believed to be linked to shifting political interests among some members of the cabinet.
There are also indications that the move may be connected to wider political changes as preparations for future elections in the state begin to take shape.
Despite the dissolution, the governor is expected to set up a new Executive Council soon to ensure that government activities continue without disruption and that ongoing projects are not affected.
