Real Betis midfielder Isco has suffered a tibia fracture for the second time, the Seville-based club confirmed on social media on Sunday.
The 33-year-old former Real Madrid star sustained the injury during a friendly match against Malaga on Saturday.
According to the club, it is a “new non-displaced fracture to the middle third of his left fibula.”

Isco, a four-time Champions League winner during his career at Real Madrid, first suffered the same injury in May 2024. He made his return in December, helping Betis secure a sixth-place finish in La Liga, qualifying for the Europa League, and captaining the team in the Europa Conference League final, where they were beaten 4-1 by Chelsea.
His impressive performances also earned him a recall to the Spanish national team for the first time since 2019. He came on as a substitute and scored during the penalty shootout in their Nations League final defeat to Portugal.
