Nigerian hip-hop star Odumodublvck has publicly addressed the ongoing feud with fellow rapper Blaqbonez, revealing he’s willing to bury the hatchet—but only under specific conditions.
In a candid interview with the Pulse podcast, the ‘Wotowoto’ hitmaker made it clear that reconciliation remains possible, though he insists his rival must take the first step by offering a direct, personal apology rather than relying on industry intermediaries.
“My rift with Blaqbonez is personal,” Odumodublvck stated. “But I won’t rule out the possibility of reconciliation because there is nothing God can’t forgive. However, you can only forgive a contrite heart.”
The rapper, who cited his Christian upbringing as the foundation for his willingness to forgive, took issue with what he described as Blaqbonez’s reluctance to approach him directly. According to Odumodublvck, his colleague has instead been dispatching prominent music industry figures to broker peace on his behalf.
“You are sending big artists to come and beg me, but because you want to maintain a social image, you don’t want to apologize even in private because you feel I would expose you if you do,” he explained, expressing frustration at what he perceives as a lack of genuine remorse.
The dispute between the two artists erupted last year and has since become one of Nigerian hip-hop’s most talked-about conflicts. While some observers have characterized it as a typical rap rivalry, Odumodublvck was emphatic that the issues run deeper than competitive bars and diss tracks.
He accused Blaqbonez of attempting to reframe their personal conflict as merely a hip-hop beef by releasing diss tracks aimed at him, a move Odumodublvck views as an effort to minimize the gravity of their falling out.
“Real men don’t behave like that,” the rapper declared. “I can’t possibly post someone’s apology online. If you can’t humble yourself, you will be stunted.”
The ball now appears to be in Blaqbonez’s court. Whether the two Nigerian rap heavyweights can find common ground remains to be seen, but Odumodublvck has made his position clear: forgiveness is on the table, but pride cannot stand in the way of genuine reconciliation.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
Odumodublvck is willing to forgive Blaqbonez and end their feud, but only if Blaqbonez apologizes to him directly and in person. The rapper insists this isn’t just rap beef; it’s personal, and he won’t accept peace negotiations through industry middlemen.
He wants a genuine, face-to-face apology, not public posturing or behind-the-scenes diplomacy. Until Blaqbonez humbles himself and approaches him directly, the conflict continues.
