In a strategic effort to enhance food security and rural development, the NNPC Foundation has launched a nationwide agricultural training initiative.
The program, part of NNPC Limited’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, seeks to boost agricultural productivity and economic resilience. The initiative aims to equip 6,000 underserved farmers across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones with modern farming practices and techniques
The inaugural ceremony took place in Enugu State, one of the training locations for the programme with 1,000 smallholder farmers from the five states of the South-East geopolitical zone present.
Enugu State’s Executive Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture and Agro-Industrialization, Hon. Patrick Ubru, officially inaugurated the training.
