The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the commencement of applications for its Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 34/2025.
The announcement, made on Tuesday via the force’s official X handle, invites applications across various professional fields, including engineering, medicine, and cyber specialties, in line with the Air Force’s growing needs in modern warfare.

Applications are free and open online from August 27 to October 7, 2025, through the official NAF recruitment portal: https://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.
According to the guidelines, applicants must:
- Be Nigerian citizens by birth.
- Be between 20 and 32 years old (Medical Doctors and Consultants may apply up to age 40).
- Not be serving personnel seeking Branch Commission; personnel above 32 years should not apply.
- Serving personnel must be recommended by their Commanding Officer, must have served for at least 10 years, and attained the rank of Corporal.
- Meet the height requirement of 1.66m for males and 1.63m for females.
- Be free from criminal convictions.
- Be medically, physically, and psychologically fit according to NAF standards.
- Hold at least a Second Class Upper Degree and possess a valid NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption Letter.
NAF further noted that a Zonal General Aptitude Test will be conducted, with the date to be announced on the recruitment portal. Only successful applicants will be invited for the Selection Interview.
