“The CAN strongly condemns the attack and expresses deep concern for the safety of the kidnapped children and their families.”

Yohanna emphasised that the Church is working closely with security agencies, traditional leaders and government officials to coordinate responses and support rescue efforts. He urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with authorities by offering useful information that could aid in locating the abductees.

The CAN chairman—who also serves as the Bishop of the Kontagora Diocese—encouraged the public to continue praying for the safe and swift release of all those taken away. He reaffirmed the association’s dedication to safeguarding children and stressed that updates would be communicated once credible information is verified.
