VerilyNews has obtained the names of 15 senators who voted in support of the mandatory real-time transmission clause during the consideration of the Electoral Bill.
The list of lawmakers who voted in favour of the clause was made public following inquiries into the Senate’s voting records on the matter.
The senators are:

- Onawo Ogwoshi (ADC, Nasarawa South)
- Tony Nwoye (ADC, Anambra North)
- Victor Umeh (ADC, Anambra Central)
- Ibrahim Dankwambo (PDP, Gombe Central)
- Austin Akobundu (PDP, Abia Central)
- Khalid Mustapha (PDP, Kaduna North)
- Sikayo Yaro (PDP, Gombe South)
- Emmanuel Nwachukwu (APGA, Anambra South)

The lawmakers voted in favour of retaining the provision that requires election results to be transmitted electronically in real time from polling units.
The vote took place during Senate deliberations on the Electoral Bill, which has generated nationwide debate over transparency, credibility, and the conduct of future elections.
