Following the abrupt cancellation by Wells Carlton Hotel, the African Democratic Congress-led coalition has announced the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja as the new venue for the formal unveiling of its opposition platform.
In a statement issued by ADC Deputy National Secretary Nkem Ukandu, the coalition confirmed that the event will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

The invitation extends to members of the National Working Committee, National Executive Committee, Board of Trustees, and other critical stakeholders, with attendance strictly self-sponsored.
Earlier in the day, the planned unveiling suffered a last-minute setback when the original venue, Wells Carlton Hotel, withdrew from hosting duties, citing an “internal compliance matter.” The sudden decision, shared by media personality Dele Momodu, sparked widespread criticism from opposition figures, who alleged political pressure from the APC-led government.

Despite the disruption, the coalition pushed ahead with preparations to formally introduce the ADC as its united front for the 2027 general elections.
The platform has drawn support from notable politicians including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party’s Peter Obi, former Senate President David Mark, and former governors Rauf Aregbesola and Nasir El-Rufai.
