NDC makes new appointments
National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, has appointed three new aides as preparations for the 2027 general elections continue.
The appointments were announced on Monday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, who said the new officials would support Dickson in his political and administrative activities.
Dickson appointed Sani Takori as Political Adviser, VinMartin Ilo as Chief Technical Adviser and veteran journalist Steve Nwosu as Spokesman.
The appointments take effect immediately and are expected to improve the coordination of Dickson’s political activities, administration and communication as the country moves towards the 2027 elections.
The party said the three appointees were chosen because of their professional backgrounds and experience in their respective areas.
Ilo and Nwosu are expected to bring their experience in technical matters and media relations to Dickson’s team, while Takori is expected to contribute his background in public administration and politics.
Nwosu, a veteran journalist, will take charge of communicating Dickson’s activities and public engagements in his new role as spokesman.
His appointment comes as political figures and parties begin to strengthen their media teams ahead of the next general election.
The duties of the three aides will cover Dickson’s activities both as the National Leader of the NDC and as a serving senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The appointments come at a time when political parties and their leaders are positioning themselves for the 2027 elections, with increased activities expected across the country as the election approaches.
Dickson, a former governor of Bayelsa State, has remained active in national politics since leaving office and currently serves as a senator while also leading the NDC at the national level.
