The Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Ayo Ni O, has announced the death of its Spiritual Father, Emmanuel Alogbo, who died at the age of 93.
The church announced his passing in a statement released on Thursday by its Secretary-General, Anthony Olusesan Samaye.
According to the statement, Prophet Alogbo died peacefully in the early hours of Thursday at his residence in Lagos.
The church said he passed away at about 2:10 a.m. while surrounded by members of his family and domestic staff.
“With gratitude to God Almighty for a life well spent, on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the entire church, I write to inform you all that our Spiritual Father… was called to glory in the early hours of today, July 30, 2026, at about 2:10 a.m.,” the statement read.
The church described the late prophet as a devoted servant of God who dedicated his life to serving God and humanity.
It said he provided spiritual leadership to the Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide for many years and played an important role in the growth and expansion of the church in Nigeria and other countries.
Widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s longest-serving church leaders, Prophet Alogbo was respected for his commitment to the Christian faith and his contributions to the growth of one of the country’s leading indigenous Christian denominations.
Following his death, the church announced that daily prayer sessions would be held for seven days from 5:00 p.m. at his residence located at Plot 1, Alogbo Close, off Ahmadiyya Bus Stop, Ijaiye-Ojokoro, Lagos.
The church added that details of his funeral arrangements would be announced later.
It also urged members to remain steadfast in their faith during the mourning period and prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul.
“May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may God grant the church the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” the statement added.
