Pop superstar Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce are officially married, capping months of feverish speculation with a star-studded wedding Friday night at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan.
A representative for Swift confirmed the marriage in a statement, noting the ceremony was officiated by comedian Adam Sandler, described as a close friend of the couple.

Guests began arriving in a procession of black SUVs shortly after 3 p.m., pulling into white tents erected outside the arena for a celebration that combined a cocktail hour, ceremony, and reception.

In a departure from convention, the couple opted out of a traditional wedding party. Swift’s brother Austin served as her “Man of Honor,” while Kelce’s brother, retired NFL lineman Jason Kelce, stood as best man. There were no bridesmaids or groomsmen.

The bride’s gown, along with Kelce’s attire, came courtesy of Christian Dior Haute Couture, designed by Jonathan Anderson. Guests adhered to a black-tie dress code, with women in floor-length gowns and men in tuxedos featuring black bow ties and satin-striped trousers.
Confirmation of the nuptials came dramatically: a giant screen outside Madison Square Garden flashed “JUST&T MARRIED!” a play on the couple’s initials as onlookers gathered near the Empire State Building, which lit up in blue to mark the occasion.

The guest list read like a cross-section of Hollywood, music and sports royalty. Attendees spotted arriving or departing included Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Selena Gomez, Chris Rock, Hugh Grant, Steven Spielberg, Jessica Alba, Tom Brady, and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, alongside Ethan Hawke, Gwen Stefani, Benson Boone, Jimmy Fallon, Jennifer Lopez, Ed Sheeran and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. In total, roughly 1,000 guests were expected to fill the arena, according to a police memo.

Security was notably tight. Invitations were reportedly sent digitally and paired with non-disclosure agreements, while guests used QR codes to gain entry. Organizers had also reportedly restricted MSG’s corporate staff from entering the building for days ahead of the event, according to sources cited by NBC News.
Beyond the glamour, the couple used the occasion for philanthropy: Swift and Kelce donated $26 million to charitable organizations across the country in the lead-up to the wedding.

Notably absent were longtime Swift friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, who were photographed elsewhere in New York state the day before, fueling ongoing speculation about strain in the friendship following Lively’s legal dispute with an “It Ends With Us” co-star.
The romance that culminated in Friday’s ceremony began publicly in 2023, after Kelce spoke on his podcast about failing to meet Swift backstage at one of her Eras Tour stops in Kansas City, a story that became part of pop culture lore before the two eventually connected, dated, and got engaged last August.

By early Saturday, as the reception stretched past midnight, a parade of A-listers filed out of the Garden into the summer night, closing the book on what commentators are already calling one of the most-watched celebrity weddings in recent memory.
