A 30-year-old woman was taken into custody Sunday afternoon after allegedly firing multiple rounds from her vehicle toward the Beverly Hills-area mansion owned by pop superstar Rihanna.

Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire around 1:21 p.m. on March 8, 2026, at the residence in the Beverly Crest (or Beverly Glen-adjacent) area.

Law enforcement sources confirm the suspect drove up near the property—some accounts specify a white Tesla—and discharged several shots in the direction of the home from across the street or near the gate.

The weapon used was described by authorities as an “AR-15-style rifle,” with estimates of shots fired ranging from seven to about ten rounds. At least one bullet penetrated a wall of the sprawling mansion, while additional rounds or fragments struck the exterior, damaged a vehicle parked in the driveway, and impacted other elements like the property’s gate or an RV/trailer on site. No one was injured in the attack—a fortunate outcome given the firepower involved.

Rihanna, 38, was confirmed to have been inside the home at the time, along with the strong possibility that her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their three young children—RZA, Riot Rose, and Rocki—were also present, though police have not released specifics on additional occupants. The family emerged unscathed, with no reports of anyone requiring medical attention.

The LAPD acted swiftly, and officers located and detained the woman without further incident shortly after the initial 911 calls, recovering the suspected firearm in the process.

The suspect remains in custody as detectives probe the motive behind what appears to have been a targeted drive-by-style assault. Authorities have emphasized that the investigation is ongoing, with no public details yet on the woman’s identity or any potential connection to the household.

The rapid arrest highlights the heightened vigilance in celebrity-heavy enclaves like Beverly Crest, where enhanced security measures and quick law enforcement response likely prevented escalation.

Rihanna, the Barbados-born icon whose empire spans music, fashion with Fenty, and recent family life, has not commented publicly on the frightening event. Representatives for her and A$AP Rocky have stayed silent amid the unfolding probe.

This episode once again spotlights the unpredictable risks faced by high-profile figures in an era of persistent gun violence concerns.
