Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of President Donald Trump, announced his engagement to socialite Bettina Anderson during a White House event this weekend, marking the third engagement for the 47-year-old businessman and political figure.
The proposal announcement was made before a gathering of supporters at the White House, with the president standing alongside the newly engaged couple. Conservative activist Laura Loomer shared the news on social media platform X, posting images of the beaming pair as they revealed their plans to marry.
“Big win for the end of the year,” Trump Jr. said during the announcement, thanking Anderson for accepting his proposal. The bride-to-be, visibly emotional, told the applauding crowd that it had been “the most unforgettable weekend” of her life, adding that she felt like the “luckiest girl in the world.” Anderson also expressed gratitude to her future in-laws for hosting the celebration.
The couple, who have been dating for just over a year, first sparked public speculation about their relationship in December 2023 when they were photographed holding hands in Palm Beach, Florida, where Anderson is based.

Details about how the pair initially met remain unclear, though both have ties to Palm Beach’s social circuit and the Trump family’s Mar-a-Lago estate.
This marks Trump Jr.’s third engagement. He first married Vanessa Trump in 2005 at the family’s Mar-a-Lago estate after proposing the previous year. The couple divorced in 2018 after 15 years of marriage. They share five children: Kai, 18; Donald III, 16; Tristan, 14; Spencer, 13; and Chloe, 11. Vanessa Trump is reportedly now in a relationship with golf legend Tiger Woods.
Following his divorce, Trump Jr. became engaged to former Fox News personality Kimberly Guilfoyle in 2020 after two years of dating. However, the relationship appears to have ended sometime in 2023, though no formal announcement was made at the time. The transition became apparent when Anderson appeared as Trump Jr.’s guest at the Trump family’s New Year’s Eve celebration at Mar-a-Lago in late 2023, while Guilfoyle was notably absent.
The timing of the relationship changes drew attention last year when President Trump appointed Guilfoyle as U.S. Ambassador to Greece amid swirling speculation about her status with his son. Guilfoyle assumed her diplomatic post in Athens in November.
