Bandits have seized the traditional ruler, the Ojibara of Bayagan, Oba Kamilu Salami, in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, heightening renewed fears over the persistent insecurity troubling communities across the state.
According to local sources, the monarch was taken away on Saturday morning while working on his farm. However, the full circumstances of the abduction were still unclear at the time this report was prepared.

Residents explained that the incident occurred abruptly, throwing the area into panic and widespread anxiety as people struggled to grasp what had happened.
As of press time, the Kwara State Police Command had not yet issued an official confirmation regarding the kidnapping.
