Gov Fubara Dissolves Rivers State Cabinet After Supreme Court Judgment

Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has formally dissolved his cabinet, relieving all commissioners and public officers affected by the recent Supreme Court judgment of their appointments with immediate effect.

The development was announced in a statement released on Wednesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Nelson Chukwudi.

According to the statement, Governor Fubara held a private valedictory session with cabinet members at Government House, Port Harcourt. The event also formed part of activities to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.

During the session, the governor expressed gratitude to the commissioners for their service and contributions to the growth and development of Rivers State over the past two years.

He also used the occasion to highlight the importance of Nigeria’s Independence, calling on all Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu in building a peaceful, secure, and prosperous nation.

Governor Fubara reaffirmed his commitment to serving Rivers State with renewed energy, thanked citizens for their continued support, and wished Nigerians a joyful 65th Independence Anniversary.
