Bournemouth are intensifying their pursuit of French defender Axel Disasi, with negotiations with Chelsea now reported to be at an advanced stage.

According to football journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Cherries have already made official and direct contact with the London club. Current discussions are said to be focused on the framework of the deal, though the final terms have not yet been settled. Disasi has, however, emerged as Bournemouth’s prime target for this transfer window.

The 27-year-old centre-back, who made the switch to Chelsea from AS Monaco in 2023, has drawn interest from several clubs across Europe. Despite this competition, Bournemouth are believed to be in pole position to secure his signature.

Confidence remains high within the south coast club, as they aim to wrap up an agreement in the coming days to further strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.

Disasi captain vs Gent

Disasi, a France international with multiple caps, is widely respected for his commanding physical presence, dominance in aerial duels, and adaptability across various defensive roles.

His potential arrival is expected to provide manager Andoni Iraola with a reliable, top-level defensive option as Bournemouth look to build on their progress in England’s top flight.

Although nothing has been officially confirmed, sources suggest that negotiations are moving in a positive direction, raising hopes that a deal could soon be finalized.
