The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, participated in the ongoing by-election for the Remo Federal Constituency, casting his vote at his Osanyin Ward Three, Unit 002 in Iperu.
After exercising his civic responsibility, the governor expressed his satisfaction with the voting process, applauding the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for what he described as a well-coordinated exercise.

Abiodun said, “I have just exercised my franchise. I am quite impressed with the feedback I got this morning that the electoral materials arrived early. There is also an impressive turnout.
“Everybody is going about voting peacefully. In some places, maybe because of the weather, the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machine took some time to capture. So far, everything is so good.
“I want to thank INEC for being on top of their game as usual. Obviously, year in, year out, they are improving the quality of their services. Basically, everything is going well. No ranchor, no fighting.”

In addition to the orderly conduct of voters, there was a notable deployment of security personnel across major towns within the constituency, including Sagamu, Ikenne, and Remo North local government areas. Security officers were stationed at key points to maintain peace and order throughout the exercise.
Reports from the area confirmed that voter turnout was encouraging, with residents actively participating in the process under the watchful presence of law enforcement officers.
