Portable and VeryDarkMan Lock Horns in Explosive Online Feud

What started as an online disagreement has now snowballed into an all-out war of words and music between controversial Nigerian street-hop singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, and outspoken social media activist VeryDarkMan.

The fiery clash between the two public figures took a dramatic turn this week as both parties began exchanging diss tracks, dragging each other through mud in a battle that has ignited widespread attention on social media platforms.

The feud ignited after Portable took a swipe at VeryDarkMan, slamming him for his relentless criticisms of President Bola Tinubu amidst Nigeria’s worsening economic crisis. In a viral video, Portable questioned the activist’s motives and further accused him of exploiting the tragic death of fellow singer Mohbad to gain online clout, stating that true justice in the case remained elusive.

In swift retaliation, VeryDarkMan released a biting diss track titled “Ole”—Yoruba for ”thief”—where he ridiculed Portable’s past, including resurfacing a 2020 viral video showing the artist being assaulted by an angry mob who allegedly caught him stealing a mobile phone and a tricycle.

Refusing to back down, Portable responded with a barrage of counterattacks, including an Instagram video in which he shared alleged private footage of VeryDarkMan, aiming to damage his reputation and question his authenticity.

The public fallout has since evolved into an internet spectacle, drawing mixed reactions from fans and critics alike. While some view it as mere celebrity drama, others believe the feud highlights deeper issues surrounding cyberbullying, political accountability, and the ethics of online activism.

As the drama continues to unfold, one thing remains clear: neither Portable nor VeryDarkMan is backing out anytime soon—and social media audiences are hooked, watching their every move.

Nigerian singer Portable and social media activist VeryDarkMan have taken their feud public, trading diss tracks and accusations online.
