Residents of Kebbi State have been advised to ignore the recently formed political coalition spearheaded by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and continue rallying behind Governor Nasir Idris for sustained progress and good governance.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Sarki, made this known while briefing journalists in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday.
Sarki highlighted Governor Idris’s achievements across the state, citing infrastructural projects and social amenities as proof of his commitment to development.
“Governor Idris has executed numerous impactful projects across Kebbi State, from the facelift of Birnin Kebbi to the installation of solar-powered streetlights and boreholes,” he said.
He further noted that the administration’s development strides extend to several local government areas, including Argungu, Jega, Yauri, and Shanga, where residents have benefited from township road construction and other vital infrastructure.
Sarki also pointed to the ongoing renovation of hospitals and the upgrade of multiple Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) to General Hospitals across various communities as part of the administration’s health sector reforms.
Describing the ADC-led coalition as “dead on arrival,” Sarki asserted that Kebbi residents will not be swayed by political movements claiming to offer good governance when, in his words, “a people-oriented leader with visible achievements” is already at the helm.
