Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, on Tuesday paid a visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos.

The development was made public by Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, who shared photos of the meeting on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle.

“Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers, now on suspension from office, visited President Bola Tinubu in Lagos on Tuesday,” Onanuga captioned the images.

Although the visit has sparked speculation, no official details have been released about the discussions held between the President and the embattled governor.

Fubara’s visit comes amid deepening political tensions in Rivers State and ongoing disputes surrounding his suspension. The meeting with President Tinubu could signal a potential effort at reconciliation or a move toward resolving the state’s political crisis.
