In a country where public figures are constantly under the microscope, celebrity barman and nightlife entrepreneur, Cubana Chiefpriest, has once again shown he’s not one to keep quiet when the heat turns up.

This time, he’s firing back—boldly and unfiltered—at those dragging him online for kneeling before President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima during a recent encounter.

The ever-outspoken showbiz personality took to Instagram to deliver a verbal punch laced with sarcasm, defiance, and a touch of swagger, calling out what he described as the hypocrisy and envy of his critics.

“All of a sudden, dem don love me so much that they are so hurt that CP knelt down for Presidency,” he wrote in a post that quickly went viral. “Well, me I know say no be wetin dey really pain una… Wetin dey pain una be say why is it always CP?”

In classic Chiefpriest fashion, he didn’t hold back. He accused his critics of masked bitterness, stating that the outrage wasn’t really about the kneeling gesture but rather a reflection of deeper resentment towards his growing influence and connections.

Taking a jab at social media “keyboard warriors,” he recalled how many insulted President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima before their political victories, implying he’s simply following a path that leads to power and prominence.

Na so una abuse them till they became the presidency. Na so una go abuse me till I become wetin dey my mind to become, he declared.

Cubana Chiefpriest, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, made it clear that he’s comfortable in his choices—kneeling, standing, or even dancing at the feet of the powers that be. “I feel super comfortable on the feet of Asiwaju/Shettima… On your mandate PBAT, CP shall kneel, stand, walk, work, dance, sleep, grow & explore.”

To cap it all off, he dropped the now-famous political slogan, “The symbol is the broom,” reaffirming his loyalty to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and aligning himself with the administration in both symbolism and sentiment.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

Cubana Chief priest  was criticized online for kneeling to greet President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima—but he did  not take the criticism lying down.

In a bold Instagram post, he addressed his critics directly, saying their real issue isn’t the kneeling gesture, but rather their resentment toward his rising influence. According to him, the outrage is fueled by envy, not principle.
