The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Tsoho, has ordered the swift relocation of five judges to different judicial divisions within the court system.
This development was confirmed in an official announcement issued by Catherine Christopher, who serves as the Director of Information at the Federal High Court of Nigeria.
The statement explained that the redeployment takes immediate effect, and the judges concerned have been instructed to make every effort to conclude all pending judgments in their current postings as quickly as possible before transitioning to their new locations.
In the meantime, judges already stationed in the Abakaliki and Katsina Judicial Divisions will temporarily oversee all existing and incoming cases within their respective areas until further instructions are given.
The statement also mentioned that all matters formerly handled by Court No. 5 in the Abuja Division will now be managed by the judge newly assigned to Abuja for that role.
Consequently, there is no need for litigants or legal practitioners to submit any applications to the chief judge for the reassignment of those cases.
