US tech mogul Elon Musk has confirmed the successful launch of 29 additional Starlink satellites into orbit, marking another milestone in SpaceX’s mission to expand global internet coverage.

The satellites were launched from Florida, and Musk shared the update on Sunday via a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“29 more Starlink satellites were added to the constellation,” he stated.

According to Space.com, this latest deployment brings the total number of Starlink satellites launched to 7,135 as of March 28, 2025, with 7,105 currently reported as operational.

Starlink, a project under SpaceX, is designed to deliver high-speed internet to remote and underserved regions worldwide. The launch follows closely on the heels of the activation of Starlink services in Armenia, further underscoring the project’s global reach.

In recent months, Musk has also taken on a prominent political role, serving as a special adviser to U.S. President Donald Trump—an appointment that has drawn wide public and media scrutiny.

No additional details regarding the mission objectives or satellite specifications have been released by either SpaceX or the U.S. government.

What you should know
With this launch, Starlink now has over 7,100 operational satellites in orbit, reinforcing Elon Musk’s ambition to deliver internet access to even the most isolated parts of the world.
