Nigerian music superstars Wizkid and Davido have once again demonstrated the international allure of Afrobeats with major wins at the 2025 NAACP Image Awards.
Wizkid took home the award for Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration (Contemporary) for his hit single “Piece of My Heart,” a track featuring American artist Brent Faiyaz from his critically acclaimed sixth studio album, Morayo.
Meanwhile, Davido was honored with the Outstanding International Song award for his collaboration with Chris Brown on “HMM,” marking their second joint victory at the awards following their previous success with “Sensational” in 2024Both artists, who dominated the music scene in 2024 with a slew of hit songs, have once again proven that they are masters of their craft, reinforcing Nigeria’s leading role in exporting African music to the global stage.
