Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has responded strongly to calls for his removal from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), asserting that no one possesses the authority or courage to expel him from a party he has supported and worked for over the years.
During a media parley held in Abuja on Monday, Wike emphasized his long-standing commitment to the PDP. “I am still in the PDP. I worked hard for the party,” he stated. He challenged anyone questioning his membership, saying, “I have not seen anybody who will have the guts to tell me, ‘Wike, you are not a member of the party.’ Who is that? What is his contribution to the party that is more than me?”
His comments come amid internal party disputes regarding his involvement in the current federal administration and speculation over his political alignment. Despite the friction, the former Rivers State governor maintained that his allegiance to the PDP remains firm and cannot be easily questioned or undermined.
