United States President Donald Trump has spoken about the possibility of the United States directing its next military action toward Cuba after the ongoing conflict involving Iran.
Trump made the comment on Thursday at the White House while receiving players and officials of Inter Miami CF, winners of the 2025 Major League Soccer title.
During the event, the U.S. president spoke about the military operations involving the United States and its ally, Israel, against Iran. He explained that his administration is currently focused on the situation involving Iran.
While addressing the gathering, which included many people with Cuban roots, Trump talked about developments relating to Cuba and suggested that attention could later move to the island nation after the conflict with Iran is resolved.
“What’s happening with Cuba is amazing. We think that we want to fix, finish this one first, but that will be just a question of time before you and a lot of unbelievable people are going to be going back to Cuba, hopefully not to stay,” he said.
His comments indicated that Washington might consider addressing issues concerning Cuba after completing its current military campaign connected to the crisis involving Iran.
The statement comes at a time when tensions in the Middle East continue to increase.
The United States and Israel have been involved in military actions linked to Iran, and the conflict has entered another week while drawing global attention.
Trump also told those present at the event that American and Israeli forces are still carrying out their operations as the situation continues to develop.
