The Katsina State Government has announced that President Bola Tinubu will embark on a one-day working visit to the state on Friday.

The visit would be the first of its kind by the President to the state since he assumed office in 2023.

Commissioner for Information and Culture, Bala Salisu Zango, made the disclosure on Wednesday during a press conference held at the Katsina Government House Press Centre.

Zango revealed that during the visit, President Tinubu is expected to inaugurate two major projects initiated by the administration of Governor Dikko Radda.

Among the projects scheduled for commissioning are the Katsina State Agricultural Mechanisation Centre and the Eastern Bypass. The bypass stretches from Dutsin-ma Road, connects Kano and Daura roads, and terminates at Yandaki in Kaita Local Government Area.

According to Zango, the visit would be an opportunity for the state to discuss some of its challenges, especially insecurity, with the President.

He called on the people of Katsina to show support by turning out in large numbers to welcome the President and urged all residents to be peaceful and law-abiding during the visit.

What you should know
President Tinubu’s first visit to Katsina since becoming Nigeria’s leader will feature the commissioning of key infrastructure projects and offer a chance for state officials to discuss insecurity. Residents are encouraged to welcome him warmly.
