This announcement was made in a statement issued by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), signed by its Secretary, Abdulmalik Jibrin. The appointment comes in view of the imminent retirement of the incumbent Controller-General, Engr. Throughout his distinguished career, Adeyemi has undergone all mandatory in-service and command trainings, in addition to participating in various courses both locally and internationally. His exposure and training are expected to bring a strategic advantage to the leadership of the Federal Fire Service.

He is also affiliated with several professional bodies, including the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria, Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria, and the Chartered Institute of Treasury Management of Nigeria, among others.

The CDCFIB expressed gratitude to the outgoing Controller-General, Engr. Abdulganiyu Jaji Olola, for his remarkable service and dedication to the development of the Fire Service. During his tenure, Olola was known for spearheading several initiatives that significantly enhanced the operational capacity and national relevance of the Federal Fire Service.
