The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed that Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has turned himself in at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Eleweran, Abeokuta.
In a statement issued by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, Portable arrived at SCID at 1:23 p.m. on February 19, 2025. His surrender follows a police gazette declaring him wanted over an alleged attack on three officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
The incident reportedly took place on February 5 at Odogwu Bar, a property linked to the singer, when the officials were conducting an enforcement exercise. Portable allegedly led a group of thugs in an attack against them, leaving the officers injured. While nine of his accomplices were arrested, the singer initially evaded police summons before ultimately turning himself in.
The police have assured the public that due process will be followed in the investigation and urged against spreading unverified information.
