President Bola Ahmed Tinubu welcomed his Ghanaian counterpart, John Mahama, to the State House in Abuja on Thursday.
This marks Mahama’s first official visit to Nigeria since his inauguration on January 7, 2025.
Tinubu and Mahama are expected to focus on strengthening diplomatic ties between Nigeria and Ghana as well as discussing key regional issues within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

Shortly after winning the presidential election in December 2024, Tinubu visited Mahama in Accra.
The Nigerian President expressed confidence in his leadership to promote regional peace and collaboration.
