The reconciliation meeting between the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) and the management of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery ended in a deadlock after nearly nine hours of deliberation.
Convened by the Federal Government, the meeting began around 4 p.m. on Monday and stretched into the early hours of Tuesday. It was attended by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Mohammed Dingyadi, and the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkiruka Onyejeocha.

Despite extensive discussions, no agreement was reached. Minister Dingyadi announced that talks would resume at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in a bid to break the stalemate.
