Nigerian media personality Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, better known as Nedu, has addressed rumors circulating about his exit from the popular podcast, ‘The Honest Bunch.’ Contrary to reports suggesting he was fired, Nedu explained that he voluntarily stepped away due to personal attacks that emerged amid recent controversies.
During a press conference, he stated, “Let me straighten something out, I was not fired from ‘The Honest Bunch.’ I decided to step away when the attacks became very personal so that the show can go on.”
The controversy erupted following an episode featuring reality TV star Deeone, who claimed that social media critic VeryDarkMan was attracted to men. This episode sparked significant backlash, and Nedu found himself facing unfounded accusations that disrupted his peace of mind and affected his family.
Reflecting on his role on the podcast, he emphasized, “My job on the podcast was to play the devil’s advocate.”
