The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has established a Candidate Counselling Emergency Support Centre to offer immediate assistance to candidates dealing with pressing concerns.

In a statement posted via its official X handle on Friday, the examination body stated that the new centre will work alongside its current ticketing platform, which it described as the most efficient method of communication with the Board.

The statement read, “In addition to our usual and preferred ticketing platform for Candidates Support, JAMB has now opened a Candidate Counseling Emergency Support Centre (CCESC).

“Members of the public, particularly Candidates with genuine concerns can reach out to any of these officials: a. Gbenga b. Yusuf c. Dubem d. Tony e. Ogbonna and f. Emma on 07002200016.”

However, the Board reaffirmed that its ticketing system remains the most dependable way for candidates to seek help.

“Please note that the ticketing platform is still the primary and most effective method for communicating with the Board as it is fast and easy to use and also guarantees a quick reply,” the statement added.

JAMB had earlier directed more than 300,000 candidates to retake the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination due to technical disruptions.

The affected students reportedly encountered score irregularities caused by glitches at several Computer-Based Test centres.

The rescheduled UTME began on Friday.

Some candidates have expressed concern, noting that WAEC has yet to officially adjust its timetable, leaving them unsure about potential exam overlaps.

What you should know
JAMB has created a special support centre to handle urgent UTME-related concerns, though it urges candidates to keep using the ticketing platform as the fastest and most reliable contact method.

This move follows the retake order for over 300,000 candidates impacted by system issues during their initial exams.
