Summary
Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja, expressing appreciation for what he described as the President’s consistent goodwill toward the people of Anambra.
Soludo, who previously served as governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), shared details of the visit in a message on his X handle on Friday.
“Yesterday, I paid a courtesy visit to my dear friend and brother of over 22 years, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, at the State House, Abuja,” the post read.
According to the governor, President Tinubu welcomed him warmly, offering what he described as his familiar kindness and openness. Soludo added that the President once again extended personal congratulations to him for the overwhelming mandate he received from voters in the recently concluded Anambra governorship election—a victory Tinubu reportedly described as evidence of the trust the people have in their shared vision for a thriving and prosperous state.
Soludo praised the President for collaborating with his administration, noting that such cooperation is essential for progress at both the state and national levels. He also emphasized that with sustained partnership, the aspirations of citizens can be realized.
“I remain deeply grateful to Mr. President for his immediate congratulatory message on that historic day, and for his continued goodwill and support for Anambra State,” the governor stated, reaffirming his commitment to national unity.
Soludo, who was recently returned for a second term under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), concluded by expressing optimism about the future of the state and the country.
“We are one Nigeria, and together—with God on our side—we will build the Anambra and the Nigeria of our dreams. May Anambra continue to win!” he wrote.
