Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has approved the immediate dismissal of the state’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Cyprian Akaolisa.
This was made known in a statement released on Monday by the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy, Declan Emelumba.
The statement instructed Akaolisa to hand over all government property in his possession to the State Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice without delay.
No reason was given for the sudden removal, as the statement did not offer any explanation behind the governor’s decision.
