Barely days after stepping down from his position as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
The announcement was made during the official inauguration of the newly constituted FAAN board, held in Abuja.
Ganduje, a former governor of Kano State, resigned from his party leadership role amid internal party tensions and political reshuffling.
His new appointment to FAAN, a key regulatory and operational body overseeing Nigeria’s airports, signals continued relevance in public service and a fresh administrative responsibility in the aviation sector.
The full composition of the new board, as well as the specific mandates or strategic direction under Ganduje’s leadership, is expected to be detailed in the coming days.
