The high-profile divorce of hip-hop superstars Cardi B and Offset has taken a contentious new turn, as legal documents reveal that Offset is seeking spousal support from his estranged wife, alongside joint custody of their three children.

The filing, obtained by TMZ, signals a significant escalation in the couple’s ongoing divorce saga, which has captivated fans and dominated headlines for some time now.

According to court documents, Offset, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, is requesting financial support from Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, as part of their divorce settlement. The former Migos rapper is also seeking joint custody of their children—Kulture, 6; Wave, 3; and their newborn daughter, whose name has not been publicly disclosed.

Additionally, Offset has asked the court to ensure that legal fees are equitably divided between the two parties, signaling a potential battle over the financial aspects of their split.

The news has sent shockwaves through the couple’s fanbase, with many expressing disbelief on social media platforms, where reactions range from stunned to skeptical.

Offset, a Grammy-nominated artist and one-third of the chart-topping rap trio Migos, is a successful musician in his own right, with an estimated net worth of $28 million. However, Cardi B’s financial success dwarfs his, with her net worth reportedly exceeding $80 million, fueled by her music career, endorsements, and business ventures.

The couple’s tumultuous relationship has long been a public spectacle. Secretly married in 2017, Cardi and Offset have weathered multiple breakups, reconciliations, and cheating scandals, often playing out their drama in the spotlight.

From Offset’s extravagant gifts, such as a Rolls-Royce for Cardi’s birthday, to his public apologies for cheating, their turbulent relationship has generated relentless media buzz.

In 2020, Cardi briefly filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, only to call it off weeks later after a highly publicized reconciliation.

Cardi B has yet to publicly address Offset’s financial demands, though her silence has only amplified speculation. Known for her candid social media presence, Cardi has previously used platforms like Instagram Live to vent about personal matters, and fans are eagerly awaiting her response.
