The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Taraba State Chapter, has extended heartfelt greetings to the Muslim Council and all Muslim faithful across the state in celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.
In a goodwill message released on Friday and signed by the state CAN Chairman, Rev. Williams Awoshiri, the association described the Eid celebration as a profound symbol of sacrifice, devotion, humility, and unity—virtues embodied by Prophet Ibrahim.
Rev. Awoshiri emphasized that these values transcend religious lines and remain essential to Taraba’s collective pursuit of peace, tolerance, and sustainable development.
“As we celebrate with our Muslim brothers and sisters, I urge all faithful to use this season to pray for continued peace, security, and development in our dear state,” the statement read.
He encouraged both Christians and Muslims in Taraba to recommit to peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and collaborative efforts aimed at building a fair and prosperous society.
The CAN chairman expressed optimism that the spiritual blessings of Eid-el-Kabir would foster renewed love, reinforce family ties, and enhance unity among the people of Taraba.
While wishing the Muslim community a joyful and peaceful Sallah celebration, CAN also appealed to all warring factions in the state to embrace peace for the overall good of Taraba and humanity.
