The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has opened its newly completed party secretariat, reaffirming its commitment to deepening Nigeria’s democratic culture and strengthening its internal capacity for strategic coordination, leadership training, and policy development.
At the inauguration ceremony, the party’s chairman, Sen. David Mark, restated ADC’s pledge to uphold democracy, responsible leadership, and national service. He said the party remained focused on promoting transparent governance and sustainable progress across the country.

Mark explained that the new complex represented ADC’s determination to contribute to a Nigeria where institutions work efficiently, citizens enjoy the benefits of good governance, and democratic values remain the foundation for national advancement.
“Here in Abuja, we unveil more than infrastructure. This complex will be a central hub where strategies are developed, ideas matured, leaders emerge, and policies are shaped to strengthen democracy nationwide,” he said.
He noted that the inauguration marked a symbolic moment for the party, emphasising unity, discipline, a renewed sense of purpose, and a stronger political identity aimed at moving Nigeria beyond longstanding divisions that had slowed democratic growth.
Mark encouraged ADC members to recommit themselves to justice, fairness, service to the nation, and responsible governance, stressing that politics should prioritise the needs of the people rather than partisan gains.
He urged party members to follow a leadership style anchored in responsibility, integrity, and accountability, adding that politics must demonstrate that it can be principled, citizen-focused, and capable of delivering real transformation.

“My message is simple: our actions will be anchored on character, courage, competence, discipline, and integrity, as we redefine political engagement and institutional conduct in service of the Nigerian people,” Mark said.
He added, “With humility and unwavering faith in democracy, I unveil this National Secretariat Complex to honour God, advance our party, and contribute to Nigeria’s development and democratic consolidation across the country.”
