The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has addressed the recent sexual harassment allegation made against him by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
Speaking at the 2025 International Women’s Day ceremony, Akpabio reiterated the Senate’s commitment to gender equality and eliminating barriers that hinder women’s progress.
The controversy between Akpabio and Akpoti-Uduaghan escalated into a series of counter-allegations, after which the Kogi Senator was suspended by the Senate on Thursday for six months for violation of the Red Chambers rules.
