Former Lagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections, Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has officially resigned from the party.
Jandor announced his resignation on Monday during a press briefing at Liberty Place, Ikeja, Lagos. He attributed his decision to widespread indiscipline and anti-party activities within the PDP, which he claimed had become the norm.
Accompanied by a large group of supporters, he stated that some party leaders, including former Deputy National Chairman Chief Olabode George, actively worked against the PDP during the 2023 elections, further influencing his decision to leave.
“We will consult widely with everybody and then take the decision to collapse our structure to another platform. What is majority on the ground now is that we have left the Peoples Democratic Party,” Jandor said.
