Airtel Nigeria, the country’s second-largest telecom provider, has revised its data and voice call tariffs in response to escalating operational costs. The updated pricing, published on the company’s website on Monday, reflects industry-wide concerns over inflation and foreign exchange fluctuations.
While Airtel has yet to issue an official statement, a senior company official clarified that the increase was “not up to 50 per cent.” Despite the adjustments, Airtel assured subscribers of its commitment to affordability, emphasizing that its fast and reliable internet services remain accessible.
